Trio
We live in a mid-century modern home, built in the 1960s by the famous West Coast builder, Joseph Eichler. When we remodeled our kitchen/family room we wanted to include some art from the mid-century modern period. Original Picasso, Pollock or Lichtenstein pieces were way out of our price range. Trio is a diptych. Each of the two panels measures 40 x 30 inches. I used acrylic and oil paints on stretched canvas.
FauxJackson On the opposite facing wall is a 40 x 30 inch stretched canvas painted in my best Jackson Pollock-like manner. I dripped onto a red-tinted canvas the same colors as our home’s interior walls and trim. I call it FauxJackson.
